Concrete test before pouring and how to take the sample
1. From Mixer TruckWhen the cement truck arrives at the site, we first have to do some concrete tests, such as air content, temperature measurements and concrete slump. Once checked, the construction engineer will allow the concrete to be poured. Once it has been poured, and then we will begin to take the concrete out and place it into a container, which is easy to work with two separate layers, but do not let it rest for more than 15 minutes, then mix it again and put into the cylinder mold for no more than 15 minutes and store it in a suitable place covered with gunny sack and plastic to protect it from the sun and wind.
Not much different from taking a concrete sample from a concrete truck, taking a sample from a cement mixer to test the air content, slump, and temperature is doing at the same time, starting to take concrete that already half pour without take the first 10% and the last 10% of the poured concrete. While pouring the concrete, do not stop halfway before the concrete runs out, because it can cause the elements of concrete to separate (segregation), which affects the durability of concrete. After take out the concrete, we re-mix it and test all three type as shown in the picture if it is accepted by the engineer, the concrete will be put into the mold for testing the concrete compressive strength and store in a suitable place and cover with gunny sack and plastic to protect from sun and wind.
