Mixer butting and the order of mixing concrete using small drum mixer
1. Buttering of Drum Mixer
As we all know, a certain amount of water, cement and sand will stick to the drum of mixer after pouring the concrete. Therefore, it is required to pour a small amount of water, cement and sand into the mixer and mix thoroughly, pour it out and throw away. This is to stick the cement and sand in the mixer drum before we do the first mix of concrete. The process of doing this is called buttering the mixer. Do this only for the first concrete mix, for further mixing on the same day that the machine has not been cleaned, buttering is not required.
2. The Order of Mixing Concrete Using a Small Drum Mixer
The first step in mixing concrete using a drum concrete mixer is to determine the amount of water and mix with admixture before starting the machine. Then turn on the mixer and pour the stone to be mixed with concrete with first 25% of water as the initial. After stirring for 3 minutes, we add the remaining 75% water, including sand and cement. Then we turn off the mixer for 3 minutes, preparing the floor to be wet and clean for concrete. Finally, turn the machine on again for 2 minutes and pour it out without turning off the machine.
